Friday, August 18 – Los Angeles – Homestead Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to feature film ADAM + EVE from Actor, Producer, Comedian Brian Hooks’ Left Of Bang Entertainment. The rights were acquired in conjunction with Glass Slipper Pictures.
ADAM + EVE stars Hooks, in his first dramatic role, as an emotionally scarred ex-marine with intense trust issues who finally meets the woman of his dreams (played by Cherish Michael). No sooner than he finds the strength to open up his heart and love, her checkered past comes to light resurrecting his emotional demons. The film also stars Kareem J. Grimes (All American, S.W.A.T., For the Love of Jason), Teck Holmes (The Real World Hawaii), Trae Ireland (Family Time, For The Love of Christmas) and Mihara India (Double Cross, 20 Minutes).
The deal was brokered by: Rob Johnson (Homestead Entertainment), Merc Arceneaux and Shondrella Avery (Glass Slipper Pictures).
Homestead Entertainment has been disrupting the VOD space since their inception in 2020. As a 100% black-owned and operated distribution and production company, their mission is to produce and distribute content from traditionally underrepresented creators in an equitable way.
