Latino representation in the worldwide phenomenon Top Gun: Maverick

The Tom Cruise-starring action film Top Gun: Maverick amazed audiences around the world with its stellar cast, impeccable cinematography, and an action-packed, thrilling story. The film grossed more than $1.3 million at the worldwide box office and Paramount Home Entertainment has announced that it now available on Blu-ray and DVD.

The film follows the story of one of the world’s top naval aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise), who must confront the ghosts of his past when he returns to Top Gun to train an elite group of graduates and comes face to face with the son of his former flying partner. Bitter rivalries ignite as the pilots prepare for a specialized mission, which will require maximum sacrifice.

Among the cast of this worldwide phenomenon is Latino actor Danny Ramirez who plays lieutenant Mickey “Fanboy” Garcia. He adds that Latino representation we want to see on the big screen, which is important since Latinos are the fastest growing population in the U.S. military. Danny has revealed that the scenes were filmed inside high speed planes and that he has always been afraid of flying.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc™ features a Dolby Atmos® soundtrack remixed specifically for your home. It can move the audio anywhere in the room, even overhead, and Dolby Vision™ High Dynamic Range (HDR), which delivers increased brightness and contrast, as well as a fuller palette of vivid colors.
The Blu-ray is presented in 1080p high definition with Dolby Atmos with access to a digital copy of the film, as well as the special clips “Cleared for Takeoff,” “Breaking New Ground: The Making of Top Gun: Maverick,” “A Love Letter to Aviation,” “The Making of The Darkstar” and the two music videos.

The DVD includes the feature film in standard definition.
